Whew! We Dodged A Weather Bullet. Today...

The local weathermen and women were predicting maybe, possibly, could get 1 to 2 inches of snow last night. Awoke this morning to nothing, nada, zip. Thank goodness. I know the kids love it and wish so hard the night before for snow days ,but, those make-up days in May will really be killers for them. So, Pete, David, Jennifer, Ron and Rebecca, so glad you were wrong. Today.

Update on Date Night

OMG! We had soooo much fun. I will take back everything about not being the biggest Rick Springfield fan. He was awesome Friday night and at 60 years old, HOT! Not at all what I expected. Now Hubs and BFF's hubby did not have the best time. Too many screaming women but they did the sweetest thing. Bff and I sat together in front of the guys. They said that we could act as goofy as we wanna and they wouldn't be the least bit embarrassed. Good thing, while we didn't scream like 15 year old girls, we sang, danced together and generally acted like it was the 80's again. I will tell you he is going to be a Billy Bob's in Fort Worth on May 15 and Bff and I WILL have a front row seat this time and we will act like 15 year olds and scream.

Date Night

Hey Kitties- Hubs and I haven't had a date night in a VERY long time. So when BFF's hubby took her out for her birthday a few weeks ago, they noticed that Rick Springfield was coming to town and asked if we wanted to go too. Isn't that just so sweet of them. Love the BFF. I can't wait. Never was a HUGE fan of his music but I did listen to it. Of course, I never missed him on General Hospital. Told the guys not to embarass us by screaming or throwing their panties (ie tighty whities) on the stage. You know, It's a wonder they take us any where at all. Let you know how it goes. Later, Kittens/

Since last we spoke.

Since last we spoke, one of the poorest countries in the world if not the poorest, Haiti, was rocked by a major earthquake. Thousands are feared dead and may never be recovered from the rubble. For these people and all people, I pray everyday.

Since last we spoke so much has happened in our tiny little world. New Orleans went to their first SuperBowl EVAH! and won! Congratulations, Mr. Brees. Job well done!

Over a foot of snow accumulated in the North Texas area. The largest ever recorded in the area since records started being kept. Holy Cow, it was a mess. The sun is out, the wind is cold, but everything is melting and drying as we speak. I cannot wait for Spring.
